Dr. Baynham then did his surgical residency with St. Luke’s University Health System in Allentown, Pennsylvania, for three years. He has board certifications with the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and Foot and Ankle Reconstruction. He is also a diplomat for the American Board of Podiatric Medicine.

Since 2012, he has been a partner in Capital City Foot & Ankle, LLC in Columbus. Dr. Baynham has a special interest in sports medicine, surgery and limb salvage. He has volunteered for the Cleveland Women's Shelters and for multiple marathons in the races’ medical tents.
He said his most significant contribution toward improving the lives of others is the time he spent after college in California, where he worked at a group home for 18 months as a guidance counselor for boys ages 8-13. The boys had been removed from their homes mainly for abuse and neglect. His job was difficult and trying, but he felt like a “big brother” to them. Still, he questioned his impact on the lives of the boys. However, through social media Eddie was contacted by one of the boys, who was intelligent but had suffered from severe emotional issues; the young man was now successful and serving in Japan with the United States military. The thought that the boy, coming from his background, had made something of himself made Eddie's time at the shelter the most gratifying time of his life.
He is currently living in Dublin, Ohio, with his wife Marcia and their two energetic Jack Russell terriers, Katie and Annie. His father Ed and brothers Adam and Nick also attended Crawford AuSable Schools.
