Grayling High School Media Center
Welcome to the GHS Media Center. Our daily hours are 7:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. (closed 3rd hour).
Media Center services
E-edition Newspapers: These are available to students from the Detroit News and the Traverse City Record Eagle. You just have to ask for a password and user ID. Teachers have access to many educational resources offered through the E-news.
Gold Stars: If you enjoy one of the Media Center books you have read, you are encouraged to add a GOLD Star to the inside book cover. (GOLD Stars are provided for you.) Up to 5 stars per book can be accumulated to let other high school readers know that this particular book is highly recommended by their peers.
Flip Video Cameras: The Media Center has three cameras for classroom projects. You can check out and use the cameras during the day for your movie maker projects.
MeL (Michigan Electronic Library) - FREE: Teachers, students and parents can find reliable, vetted resources for classroom projects, papers and instructions in the Michigan eLibrary, http://mel.org. MeL resources take the guess work out of whether a source is reliable or not. Plus, MeL resources focus on K-12 education and are structured with educators in mind.
And MeL has other exciting resources:
