The GMS Media Center

Our media center offers computers with internet access along with periodicals and books for student research and enjoyment. (If you like to visit a library but can't always find the time, visit http://www.elibrary.com/education.)

An Important Note to Parents of Athletes

Grayling Middle School's policy on all extra curricular and conference programs is the "PWP" (Pass While Participating) policy which mandates students must be passing all classes in order to participate or compete in these programs.

After School Programs 

 
  • Homework Lab: An after school program held on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the Middle School Media Center (3:10-4:10 p.m.) to help students with their homework. Teachers are present to aid students with problems in any subject.

Other Opportunities for GMS Students

  • Kirtland Community College: Middle School students who have an interest in attending classes in various subjects from critical thinking to photography at Kirtland each Friday afternoon can sign up in the Counseling Office in the fall of their 8th grade school year. Parents must give their written consent and students must have acceptable grades and obtain recommendations from their teachers. You can visit Kirtland's web site at http://www.kirtland.cc.mi.us./
