| Albion College | Operation Bentley is a one-week program for high school sophomores and juniors interested in government and political issues. It runs May 15-21 at Albion College. Selection is based on academic record, involvement in high school and community activities and teacher recommendation. | There is no cost to the participant. | February 28 |
| American Legion | The Michigan Youth Career Law Enforcement Program will be held in Lansing from July 23-28. It is open to 16- to 18-year-old juniors and seniors with police career interests. | The cost is $350 and can be paid by a sponsor if a student chooses to find one.
