GRAYLING HIGH SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS

FRESHMAN BOYS’ BASKETBALL – beat the East Jordan Red Devils 60-43 last night.
THE GRAYLING LEO’S CLUB – will be collecting canned goods and
non-perishables for the Christian Help Center and Meals on Wheels until Friday.
Anything you can bring in would be greatly appreciated. There is a donation box
in the main office.
FINANCIAL AID NIGHT – will take place in the media center tomorrow at 6
p.m. All students and their parents are encouraged to attend. Learn valuable
information about the FAFSA, student loans, scholarships and more.
BOWLING TEAM – meet in Coach Brock’s room after school today.
Seniors – We just received an application
for the Otsego County Farm Bureau Scholarship in the amount of $500. Applicants
must be from families who are members of the Otsego County Farm Bureau. The
deadline to apply is April 15.
ATTENTION NHS
MEMBERS – A mandatory meeting for
all NHS members will take place in Lackenbucher's
room at 7:45 Friday morning. The meeting is regarding Elementary school
tutoring. Attendance will be taken.
ANYONE DRIVING TO SCHOOL – must remove their vehicle at the end of the day.
When snow falls the lots must be plowed and cars left in the parking lot
overnight will be towed at the driver’s expense. Also, be advised that if you
are doing donuts in the parking lot at GHS you will lose your driving
privileges for an extended period of time, possibly until the end of winter. In
addition, you may be ticketed. We will
not tolerate careless, negligent driving in our parking lot.
Seniors – Have you applied to college or the military yet?

to locate college websites to apply online. Use the www.casdk12.net website to find military information.
Make this your New Year’s goal!
Seniors – MSU is offering a 1,000
scholarship for an entering senior who intends to become a teacher. Apply
online until January 30 at www.educ.msu.edu
and click on the COEAA Freshman Scholarship Application.
FOR MOST STUDENT ATHLETES – graduation signals the end of athletic careers.
You can remain actively involved in school sports by becoming a registered game
official. For more information, contact MHSAA at 517-332-5046 or go to the officials page at www.mhsaa.com.
SENIORS –
If you have pictures that you’d like to appear in your senior video, put them
in the blue box in the main office. Include your name on the back of each photo
so we can return them to you.
SENIOR ABSENCE
POLICY – Seniors with
more than two NC starting winter trimester and thereafter due to attendance, will not participate in commencement exercises.
JUNIORS AND SENIORS – You may be eligible to take the ACT at no cost if
you currently receive free or reduced meals. For more information, contact your
counselor.
