The Student Assistance Team (S.A.T.) is a group of staff members brought together to assist students who are experiencing difficulty in the areas of behavior, academic, health, and/or attendance.
The S.A.T. works closely with all staff members, including students, teachers, custodians, paraprofessionals, counselors, social workers and administrators. We also work closely with parents/guardians, medical professionals and community agencies. Our mission is to help all students to be academically and social-emotionally successful. We provide ideas for classroom adaptations, various observations, checklists and evaluations as needed, and referrals to appropriate agencies. We meet for an hour once a week as well as for three scheduled whole days throughout the schoolyear.
Parents and Agencies who have concerns about specific primary aged children, many contact Principal, Mrs. Barb Mick, or Student Assistance Chair, Chris Brunell at 344-3654. Other team members include: Pam Alexander, Joann Brown, Tricia Coger, Jackie Fry, Jen Hetfield, Clyde Holzbauer, Brooke Laurent and Deanna Johnston.
