I hope everyone had an enjoyable spring break. Did you know that we only have 8 more weeks until summer vacation? I can't believe how fast the school year has gone by! The next 8 weeks of school is going to be very busy and full of fun activities. We will be learning about the life cycle of a butterfly, take care of the environment, and planning the end of the year activities.
Spring is here!!! The weather appears to be getting nicer and the sun is starting to make its' appearance more often. Please make sure we are conscious of the weather. Spring weather can sometimes throw us off a bit. One day it could be sixty and the next day thirty. Make sure you child is dressed appropriately for the weather. Some days they may need a spring coat and the next day winter gear.
March reading month was a wonderful success! Everybody did an excellent job reading books and sending in their fox. The entire school read 2,267 books. That is a lot of reading!!! Each child in Ms. Brown's class won a book for their own collection for completing their classroom reading goal.
Easter - although Easter is over, the children will be going to Grayling Mercy Manor for an Easter Egg hunt. They usually plan this early but things have been a bit hectic. If you do not celebrate Easter as a family and do not want your child to participate, please let me know. The men and women at the manor love seeing the kids participate in this activity. It surely brightens their day.
