TEST OUT PERIOD
In compliance with Michigan P.A. 380, Section 1279 (B), the Crawford AuSable School District will provide high school students with yearly opportunities to "test out" of courses at Grayling High School. The next Test Out Period will be in fall 2008. Students wishing to test out of a class must complete a registration form, available in the counseling office. Registration forms require a parent's signature.

MME TEST PREPARATION
Grayling High School offers access to ACT test prep through ACT Online Prep.  The ACT is a significant portion of the MME.  If you would like to access the site, see your counselor for access codes.

Earning credit in high school
Due to the number of students entering and leaving GHS, we remind you that high school credits are earned a trimester at a time. Each course is granted 1/2 credit per trimester completed. Leaving early, before a trimester has been completed, generally results in the loss of credit in every course, and it may result in the student failing to graduate with his/her class.

scholarship & LOAN opportunities
KESSELER CENTRALIS SCHOLARSHIP: Central Michigan University's Centralis Program is a scholarship program that is an extension of the University Honors Program. Centralis Scholarships are merit-based awards given to high school and community college students who have earned cumulative grade point averages of 3.5 or higher and have demonstrated outstanding academic performance and extracurricular involvement. Recipients of these scholarships are provided with opportunities designed to enhance their academic and professional development. In turn, each Centralis award recipient brings talents and interests that contribute to CMU. At least 40 new Centralis awards are granted each year through a scholarship competition. Roger Kesseler is a member of the CMU Board of Trustees and he and his wife are both GHS graduates. As a means of giving back to the Grayling community, they have created an endowment which funds a Centralis scholarship to one member of every GHS graduating class.
